BATHYMETRIC MAPPING

The perfect tool to create a custom map of your entire lake or favourite fishing spots. Just troll or reel your FishHunter™ across the area that you are interested in mapping and FishHunter™ starts to track the depth and bottom contour as it travels around your lake. Once completed, you can navigate back to any location on your map, or see the bottom contour sonar display by pressing anywhere on your map.

BATHYMETRIC MAPPING – STEPS

CREATE A NEW MAP

1  Tether your FishHunter to your boat/kayak/canoe and ensure it has good line of sight to your smartphone/tablet.
  (We recommend the sonar be directly behind your boat and less than 5ft from your smartphone/tablet)
2  Ensure you are connected to FishHunter Wi-Fi in your settings
3  Open the FishHunter app and go into Sonar section
4  Select the type of sonar you have
5  Select MY BATHYMETRIC MAPS
6  Select New Map
7  The APP will validate your current GPS location and click Next
8  The APP will double check the connection to your sonar and click Next
9  Click GO to start recording your map
10  Your map will automatically save itself while it is recording and can be found in MY BATHYMETRIC MAPS

HOW TO ADD TO EXISTING MAP

1  Open FishHunter App and go to SONAR section
1  Choose your sonar
1  Choose MY BATHYMETRIC MAPS
1  Select Bathymetric maps
1  Select map you want to continue using
1  Navigate back to the area you wish to continue mapping
1  Repeat steps 1-9 of Bathymetric Mapping Steps

What if I receive a GPS Disabled pop up?

Answer: Go into your settings and ensure your location services are set to on and that you are sharing your location with the FishHunter App

Why does my boat tracking not have the map on it and appearing as a grid?

Answer: You are not connected to the internet. Once you have connected the map will appear.

What is the best way to use Bathymetric Mapping in a Kayak?

Answer: Tether your FishHunter to your boat/kayak/canoe using the red leash provided and ensure it has good line of sight to your smartphone/tablet. We recommend the sonar be directly behind your boat and less than 5ft from your smartphone/tablet)
